I have just collected my third pair of glasses from Station Road (my first only weeks after it opened). I’m beyond pleased. The eye test itself was thorough and everything was explained to me. The choice of glasses is always epic and the customer service fabulous and all done with a good cup of tea!

Refreshingly different optician with a whole new approach to wearing glasses and why that’s so important. Absolutely love the service and range they offer. I feel in good hands and have a range of eyewear that is eye poppingly different. Highly recommended.

Absolutely superb! VIP treatment and a lovely experience

I was looked after the minute I opened the door -Kate greeted me , a cup of tea arrived within minutes . She asked me to take a seat and browse while she finished helping another customer . 

We chatted about what I liked and my current glasses and she suggested a few pairs to try and then had the patience of a saint whilst I tried them on , then tried them on again – what a fabulous selection they have !!! 

She suggested styles and colours I would not have thought of and Deepak also gave his expert opinion about which styles  suited me and why . 

Kate very carefully explained about the lenses , quality , finish etc and difference of the options  available but in easy to understand language – I didn’t feel bamboozled or pressured. Kate clearly loves her job and is passionate about helping people . 

I can’t wait to collect both pairs ( I couldn’t decide!!) who knew that buying glasses could be such an enjoyable experience?!

When you want service that is the best around with the ultimate care for your eyes then this is the place. Kate who will look after you with your choice and fitting . Deepak the optician who takes the greatest care to be very precise with your prescription and throughly checks your eyes in great detail to make sure they are healthy and raise any issues that arise . My glasses are the best I have ever had in over 40 years of wearing glasses. Highly recommended, for service that excels.

Decided to try a different approach for new glasses mainly to avoid spending months looking at glasses and ending up with nothing! Could not have been happier with my experience at SRO. Deepak carried out a thorough eye examination which gave me a lot of confidence in the final prescription (not always the case from previous experiences). Kate then spent an endless amount of time helping me to choose the perfect glasses. She gently encourages you to try less obvious ones and is honest in expressing what works and what doesn’t which i found very helpful. The vibe created overall is friendly as well as a strong desire to provide excellent service. Interest free credit is a bonus, especially when you end up with three pairs of glasses! I had a fantastic experience at Station Road Opticians. I have never been confident about choosing my own glasses and knowing what suits my face shape and style, and having Jess sit down with me and talk me through my options and what might suit me and why made the process much less daunting. After a disappointing experience with another optician at Deansgate who provided me with a severely inaccurate prescription, I decided to visit Deepak’s clinic, and I’m thrilled I did.

During my recent eye exam at Deepak’s clinic, I was truly impressed by the exceptional service. From the welcoming atmosphere set by stylist Kate to Deepak’s professional and friendly approach, it was a standout experience.

Deepak’s exceptional attention to detail resulted in the most precise prescription I’ve ever had. He considered my lifestyle and specific eye issues to create a personalised solution that significantly improved my vision. It’s like seeing the world in high definition!

Have worn glasses for over 40 years and needing a small frame, I always find buying new ones really stressful. Not this time. Deepak and Kate provide an excellent, personable service. Their customer care is first class and the whole experience was positively lovely. I have already recommended Station Road Opticians to many friends and will continue to do so.

I’m absolutely thrilled and delighted with my selection but I need to point out very clearly that these are frames I might not necessarily have selected for myself.

But boy oh boy am I a happy customer.

I wanted a different experience to purchase my new glasses and eye test. I chose Station Road as their glasses were different and the staff seemed fabulous. I was not mistaken, from arriving to leaving with my super new glasses, the warm welcome I received from Amy made me feel very at home. Deepak gave me a thorough eye test and was professional but also made me feel very comfortable and special.  I collected my new glasses today and love them. Kate was very warm and friendly. I will definitely be choosing this amazing opticians when the time comes for a new pair of glasses. Thank you to all the staff you are brilliant.

Station Road opticians are absolutely brilliant! I had been struggling with my eyes for a while and I knew I needed to get them sorted. I used their easy online booking system, got an appointment convenient for me and my work and the service was amazing. During my eye test everything was explained in detail to me including my prescription with all the options. There is a huge range of glasses and there really is something for everyone, the team encouraged me to try on different styles of glasses to find the perfect ones for me! I was then booked in for a collection appointment with Kate who made sure everything was perfect for me and I LOVE my new glasses! I can’t recommend Station Road enough. The staff, service and shop are all AMAZING!

What a lovely experience I had at Station Road opticians. I had a in depth eye test with Deepak and Kate helped me choose some new frames. Kate completely understood the type of frames that would suit me and I was able to make a decision without too much fuss. What a wonderful discovery! A fantastic and fun experience choosing eyewear with my wife. I wasn’t even looking and saw a pair that leaped out and I couldn’t say no. I found Station Road Opticians by chance on Instagram and was impressed by their stylish glasses and their generally cheerful approach.   I had my first appointment with Deepak recently and felt that I had a really thorough eye test and he took all my concerns into account.  I went on to choose some new glasses with Jess and Kate.   It was all very relaxed and I am thoroughly delighted with my choice.  Highly recommend them.

I won a very generous money off voucher for this optician. But had I known about it before I’d have gone anyway. The service was amazing. Kate helped me pick my glasses, which I even received a compliment about when I went to the bar later on! What can I say about Station Road Opticians… the best opticians experience I have EVER had!! My eye test was quick and efficient and then I got to meet the amazing Kate!! She really took the time to listen to me, she knew what I was thinking before I said it. Such a different experience than going to a general opticians where you are left to your own devices and might ending up choosing something that doesn’t suit you. Amazing eye care from the Optometrist Deepak – the best I’ve ever known – and Kate also offers superb expertise and care – also the best I’ve ever known – with her specialist knowledge in the choice of frames, their fitting and the overall personal attentiveness she offers – absolutely fabulous and a real ‘Jewel in the Crown’! I have had the absolute best experience choosing Station Road Opticians! For years I have used other well known opticians and now I have been here, I wont be going back to the high street. The customer service; booking in, style consultation, eye test and fitting, has been amazing. The staff are so personable and they really take an interest in you – your needs, your personality and your preferences…They even had oat milk available for my ‘proper’ coffee I was offered on my arrival, and it’s the little details like that that make this place really special!

Deepak, Kate & Amy were all so wonderful. If you’re after some fashionable specs, this is definitely the place to go. I couldn’t recommend them more.

From the minute I walked into shop and chatted with Deepak I knew it was going to be a great experience. On my appointment with Jess it was so easy we chatted over coffee which clearly helped Jess to understand me as the first pair of frames I tried on are the ones I am sat wearing. Jess still worked with me to try different frames it wasn’t over facing she was honest and it helped me find frame no 2. The USP is definitely focused on the customer journey/experience and you can tell it’s at the very heart of every staff member. I feel amazing in my new glasses.

What a fantastic place, took my Mum for her new glasses, in her words “I don’t want anything boring”. Had a routine eye test with Deepak; turned out my 44 year old eyes finally need a little assistance.  Picked up my new glasses this week, very happy with them.  Kate was able to offer styles to suit my budget (lower end) and we found the perfect pair for me.  Lovely shop fit out and the team clearly have passion for eye health and non-mediocre glassware! Overall a nice experience. Recommend!

I’ve just collected both mine and my daughters glasses and can’t recommend Station Road enough – from start to finish the service has been amazing. The difference between them here and the large chain we used to go to is eye watering (pun intended!) Kate was brilliant throughout – helping us choose and fitting them too. This place is something else! What an incredible experience. In 30+ years of wearing glasses, I’ve never been able to find a nice pair that fit my narrow face. I’ve never liked a single pair of glasses I’ve owned! I didn’t have high expectations but within 5 minutes Kate had found me the perfect pair, which I’m completely in love with. Kate is clearly a wizard at what she does. Not only that, but she’s a true people person and so welcoming. She understood my needs perfectly. I’d recommend this just for the fact they use a magnetic pulse instead of the puff of air so it doesn’t make you jump! But, they do so much more. Brilliant range and great people. Really happy with my frames and lenses!

The best Opticians I have ever used in the 35 years since I started wearing glasses. They combine serious optometry expertise with the best selection of frames you can’t find anywhere else and super friendly service. The fact they are just down the road and not New York, Paris or Milan is the icing on the cake. Highest possible recommendation!

What a great team at station Road Opticians. Quirky, super friendly. They add a real personal touch by finding out about you. Kate had great knowledge, but best of all not pushy on add ons or brand, like some other big retailers.

A really good service from Deepak and Kate. Very pleased with the glasses, definitely worth a little extra. I had the eye pressure check and OCT only to find slightly raised pressure in my eyes which will need reviewing in the future. Especially important as my brother was diagnosed with glaucoma a few days later. Eye sight is precious, so pleased I had the additional tests.

We were wowed by the window and were not disappointed with our experience at Station Road Opticians! Facing the fact we needed reading glasses we booked easily online and received welcoming messages. The optician was warm and friendly and the appointment was really informative. Then Kate effortlessly picked frames she thought would suit us, so good is she at her job, I think I ended up with the first pair I saw. We had a great time choosing our glasses and we could have stayed longer! We were so impressed with SRO, the service was second to none! If you need to find the right pair of glasses, you need Kate!

What a find! Great welcome and service from Kate and Deepak’s calm, helpful advice during my eye examination was brilliant. The choice of frames is really interesting and I’m delighted with the glasses I chose (with Kate and Deepak’s help of course!). I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Great personal service, unique collection of stylish glasses and a relaxed vibe. My eye test was comprehensive and the optician really took the time to explain the results to me and the best options for glasses and my eye care. The team helped me find a perfect pair of Lindberg glasses that I absolutely love. They spent a lot of time with me to make sure I found the right pair for me. I also appreciated how spacious and well-designed the place is – it’s got a great atmosphere.

Had a fantastic experience at Station Road Opticians.  Kate spent a lot of  time with us and selected various glasses that would suit our face and that fit well.  We both ended up with beautiful glasses and are really pleased with our new look.  Kate is very experienced and knowledgeable and I would definately recommend a visit if you are after new eyewear.

I must say what a great experience this has been from the start to finish. Kate took the time at every turn. She was of great help in the choosing process throwing some curved balls in which in turn helped me choose a pair of frames that tbh I probably would not have chosen to try on! The quality lenses I chose to go for while being fairly expensive, I’m really pleased with clearer and lighter than my old lenses. If you want different frames not the usual shop here! I’m glad I did! Without doubt.

I cannot recommend Station road opticians enough! My eye test with Deepak was really thorough and he explained everything really well while being very friendly. Amazing team, all extremely helpful and friendly (also I’ve never had an optician talk to me about what my prescription means before which was really interesting!) Great advice too when helping me pick out my frames, way better service than I’ve had elsewhere!

Everyone at Station Road is beyond nice and I got there with an idea of what I wanted but they took the time to help me select the perfect frame for me, just after a really professional vision and eye health check. Both Deepak and Kate were friendly and attentive. They took the time to speak with me, asking questions to find out my preferences, great service! Really happy with my chosen two pairs of glasses. Was given my eye test straight after the consultation which was free of charge as I had made a purchase. Upon collection of my glasses, Kate was attentive in helping me adjust the fit of my glasses until I was happy. I noticed a chip on one of my frames and Kate has placed a new order with the manufacturers whilst allowing me to hold onto the current chipped glasses – no fuss with solving problems. I had a truly wonderful experience with Station Road Opticians. I hadn’t had my eyes tested for just over two years because of COVID-19, and my eyes were starting to really hurt due to wearing the wrong 

prescription for so long. I’d been loyal to my other opticians since I was a child, and I booked with Station Road on a whim because of the fabulous reviews I’d seen online. From the moment I entered the practice, I knew I’d made the right decision. I was welcomed in, offered a drink, and immediately felt at ease. The actual eye test itself was very thorough, and I felt totally safe re. the practice’s COVID policies. My favourite part of the process was picking out my new frames, helped by the lovely Kate. Kate is so brilliant, and hand-picked lots of beautiful frames for me to try – the ones I chose, blue faceaface frames, are absolutely stunning and definitely not ones I would have picked up myself! The frames were not cheap (nor were the lenses, but that’s the fault of my dodgy eyes!) but I wear glasses 24/7 and it’s so important to me that the glasses I wear are unique, and high-quality. I 100% recommend Station Road, and will certainly be going back in the future for a new pair of glasses. Thank you!!

A few months a go I visited Station Road to have my eyes tested and buy some new glasses. I decided to visit here as I had been following them on social media for some time and wanted expert advice on what suited my face shape. I have been unhappy with every set of glasses I’ve had in the past but this time they are fantastic. So much so that I have also purchased my sunglasses from Station Road too. All the staff are extremely welcoming and I didn’t feel pushed into a purchase. Each time I have left very happy and would highly recommend.

I had a fantastic experience from start to finish! Deepak was great at working out my requirements after my prescription had changed. Kate was really helpful with choosing the right frames for my face and   my fitting appointment today provided a chance to make alight adjustments. I’ve never enjoyed having my eyes tested, but after noticing a bit of difficulty reading road signs whilst driving I decided I needed them testing again. Deepak and Marcus were lovely, made me a cup of tea and took notes on what I thought might be wrong. I already had the style of glasses I wanted in mind, and found the perfect ones on display. A week later I was back in with Rachelle who fitted my glasses for me (with some complimentary chocolates!). I have had no issues since and love wearing my glasses!
