Hi there, I’m Deepak. I’m a qualified optometrist with 20 years of experience and I’m committed to giving people a more individual eyewear service with incredible glasses to choose from.

I am the founder and owner of Station Road Opticians in Cheadle Hulme as well as our sister branch, Albert Road Opticians in Wilmslow.

As the lead optometrist at both Station Road and Albert Road, I take your eye health seriously, providing longer and more detailed testing so you can enjoy a more customised and empathetic approach.

And being a long-time glasses wearer too, I’m passionate about making you feel self-confident and effortlessly cool in your own glasses.

My Optometry Experience

After completing my optometry training at City University in London in 2003, I pursued my passion by working in the City of Manchester and proudly joining the General Optical Council with full qualifications.

Then, working in a private laser clinic as a residential Optometrist, I gathered crucial experience in refractive surgery as well as working as a locum Optometrist for various practices.

By this time, I had discovered there was something vital missing from eye care service and it was time for me to start my own opticians. Now I can give people the personal eye care and standout eyewear they were looking for.

Passion For Unique Glasses

I opened Albert Road Opticians first in 2012, followed by Station Road Opticians in 2018. Since the moment we opened our doors to customers looking for glasses that would transform their outlook and their appearance, we’ve helped thousands of people find their eyewear confidence.

The drive behind Station Road is that I grew up wearing glasses that were ‘nerdy’ or unstylish – just like so many others.

When I at last found my first pair of amazing, unique glasses I felt like a totally new person.Then the compliments from people around me started to pour in (quite unexpectedly!) and I realised this was how everyone should feel when they pick out their glasses.

From there my own passion for detail became our mission for Station Road: we would do everything possible to provide a service unlike any other and offer glasses that were stylish, cleverly engineered and couldn’t be found on the high street.

I was thrilled when Station Road won the prestigious Opticians Awards’ UK ‘Fashion Practice Of The Year’ title in 2022, following on from Albert Road which won this honour in 2017.

With the hugely positive reaction we’ve had, our enthusiasm for helping people find stylish glasses they love has only grown.
